Northern Utah Solar was founded in 2024 with the goal of bringing reliable and inexpensive solar solutions to our clients -- without the sales gimmicks typical of the solar industry. The co-founders, James and Tyler, both graduated from Utah State University with degrees in Civil Engineering. Both James and Tyler work as structural engineers, designing commercial and industrial buildings all over the country.

The background in engineering gives us the knowledge to not only design an efficient solar system, but also understand the underlying structure. It's all too typical of the solar industry for an inexperienced "sales bro" to sell you a system that could damage your roof, void your warranty, or overload your structure. We'll avoid these mistakes so you're not paying for them down the road.

Being owned and operated by engineers allows us to keep our prices down. How? We don't rely on underexperienced, overpayed solar bros to sell for us! We've all heard stories of the solar sales bro that just got a brand new truck as a bonus. Instead of annoying sales people, we rely on our reputation and word of mouth to obtain new clients. This allows us to keep our costs down so that you can save more money.
